Along with 10,000 teachers from all over the world, middle school and high school students from Four Corners Charter School attended the Future of Educational Technology Conference in January. The Four Corners students ran a booth which they provided tutorials on how to proficiently work SmartBoards. It’s thanks to innovations specialist, Laura VanHellemont, who recommended Four Corners students to attend the convention, along with teachers Ms. Elisa Cruz, Ms. Karen Suarez, and Mr. Joseph Winters. This is the first year the FETC, since 1978, has allowed students to attend the conference. After obtaining knowledge at the FETC, students were able to present a professional development for teachers at Four Corners that allowed them to showcase what they learned from the conference. The teachers benefitted greatly from the student led PD.
