Getting to Know Us
FCCS Students Participate in Toys for Tots
FCCS participated the annual Toys for Tots Toy drive. We collected two huge boxes for toys for all ages. Two of our fine Marines came to pick them up on 12/16/07.

FCCS Students Launch Weather Balloon
In the month of November selected students from our 6th, 7th and 8th grade were chosen to design a "Weather Balloon" at Kennedy Space Center under the direction of our two science teachers Mr. Woods, Miss. Vandillewyn and with the assistance of the fine people at Kennedy Space Center as Bob Eppig: Mech. Engineer, Dr. Larry Chew: Professor of Aerospace Engineering UCF and Mr. Tony Gannon: Coordinator/Director of Space Florida. Without these wonderful and inspiring individuals this project would have never happened.
Our school was one of only 6 schools that were asked to participate in Florida and this was the first year that this project was done. Our "Weather Balloon" went as high as 90,000 feet and we were able to see the earths crust via camera on that weather balloon.
Congratulations to those fine students for their accomplishment.
The Launch took place at The Kennedy Space Center on Nov. 4, 2007. See above picture. The students that participated were: Jeancy Rossy, Patricia Johnson, David Landin, Jonathan Lenig, Andrew Pham, Cade Meadows, Josh Stuckey, Rocio Coniglio, Sahara Alami, Daniel Avila, Megan Otero, Jessica Campoverde, Wyatt Lapinski, Tamara Hazalik, and Jean Rossy.
